Bushenyi Alliance for Rural Health and Development
Kibingo Girls’ School

Kibingo Girls’ School principal Allen Kyasiimire.
Kibingo is located in a rural setting about one hours’ drive from Bushenyi. The roads are very rough and difficult to maneuver, especially in the rainy seasons. Senior 1 through Senior 6 levels (7th to 12th grades).
The Principal is Allen Kyasiimire, Headmistress.
In 2008 the school had an enrollment of 431 students; BARHD sponsored 70 of these students. Most are boarders but some walk as many as 5 miles to and from school each day.
The staff, although underpaid, is committed to providing the best education with the tools they have. Kibingo is fortunate to have a strong Board of Governors and an active PTA.
This is the poorest of the three schools supported by BARHD. They have no electricity other than what can be provided by a small generator. They have one small tap for water---the bulk is hauled up a steep hill from a swamp. The buildings are old, inadequate, and too small.
In 2008 a two-classroom building was completed with the help of BARHD. If power can be supplied to the school, this building is intended to become a computer & science lab.
Help us ensure a brighter future for these children.

BARHD sponsors provide hope and opportunity for 230 Uganda orphans. By giving them the opportunity to continue their education, you give these orphans the chance to make better lives for themselves.
$365 BARHD scholarships support one orphan for an entire year:
- Room and board
- Tuition
- Books
- School uniform
For a dollar per day, you could change an orphan's life forever.
See the impact of your donation first-hand. Through letters and photos, you'll be able to form a lasting bond with your student.
